This is a buddy picture that enshrined the image
of Paul Newman and Robert Redford in the public eye.

This 1969 film of the "Hole in the Wall" gang is a comedy western
that opens with the two outlaws harassing the character Woodcock
for the miners’ payroll before they blow up the train (with Woodcock in it).
The upshot of course is that they must skillfully elude a relentless sherriff’s posse.

Unfortunately for all of us … the posse eventually caught up with them.

And the only one happy with the outcome may have been Woodcock.

When I grow up I want to be one of these guys
… and I’m not referring to Woodcock.
